Children's Development Association of North Fulton supports the education of pre-schoolers of single parents and parents in need, as the parents are at work. Our Rotary club has participated in several activities to improve the facility and the student's and teacher's quality of life over the past few years. Annually, we create, set up and facilitate a treasure hunt (age appropriate toys) for two groups of students in the court yard and playground area. We then sit down at separate tables to have lunch with the students to discuss their life. Our volunteers and school staff oversee the hunt to make sure all the kids receive an equal amount of toys, which keeps a smile going on all faces. Conversations with these kids at their lunch tables is very intriguing and enjoyable, as they are in a good mood and comfortable in speaking their mind to the adult volunteers.
