District Community Grant Funds Take Out Art Kits

Rotary Club of North Fulton used this year's District Community Grant of $2000 to fund Take Out Art Kits for elementary students in North Fulton. The idea for Take Out Art Kits came from Arts Alpharetta during COVID, when they wanted to ensure that children had the necessary supplies to create art while they were required to be at home. Not only have they continued this project since 2020, but it has been expanded to include additional elementary schools and even high schools. Our club has helped support this initiative by purchasing the supplies and then coming together to create the art kits in a fun assembly line of sorts. Special thanks to our tireless bow tiers (for multiple sessions of Take Out Art Kits), Stacey Nyman and Amie Blanton.

Jacob's Ladder Art Walk & Talent Show

On Saturday, March 22nd, members of Rotary Club of North Fulton were on hand at Jacob's Ladder to provide volunteer support for their annual Art Walk & Talent Show. Jacob's Ladder is a neurodevelopmental school and therapy center located on a beautiful campus in Roswell. It just so happens that our very own Dan Jenkins has a close tie to one of the employees at Jacob's Ladder - his daughter, Sara! By having Rotarians on hand to help guide parents and visitors where to park and how to find the art walk, it allowed staff members to focus on the families of their students. I think we were all very impressed with the campus and the work they do at Jacob's Ladder.

March 13th - Day of Service

Rotary Club of North Fulton had an amazing day of serving the community on March 13th! The day began at Alpharetta High School to pick up chili and salad made by the Culinary Arts students. This lunch was delivered by Rotarians to every fire station in Alpharetta and Milton, as well as police HQ and 911 centers.

The evening brought our members to Children's Development Academy, where the club sponsored a Literacy Night which included dinner, entertainment and fun activities for the families of preschoolers.

Special recognition goes to our four members who were at both events: Rick Clark, Steve Cory, Jeff Esterkes and Regina Orlick!

We absolutely love serving the North Fulton community!
