March 10th Meeting Recap

We had many members on the road this week, but there was still a nice crowd in attendance for our March 10th meeting. Our guests included two Peters: Peter Gibson, a neighbor of William Bennett and Peter Korman, a Roswell Rotarian, We were also happy to welcome back Companion Club member Dylan Paul!

Happy Dollars

Steve Cory led our Happy Dollars and there was plenty of things to be "happy" about. A few of note:

Steve Cory announced that he was accepted into Georgia State University!

Kathleen Peneguy shared that March 12th is the 25th anniversary of her sign shop! She has owned the sign shop for more than half of her life!

Thomas Nolfa shared that he is enjoying his new job, distributing CeraVe and LaRoche projects to pediatrician offices.

Amie Blanton appreciates the support she has received from our club as she navigates her unexpected job loss.

William Bennett shared that the bid he has been working on for 1-1/2 years has come through and he is committed to working another two years!

Guest Speaker

Our Guest Speaker was Ira L. Gleser , founder of Amplify Marketing Communications and author of "Stewardship for Business", a playbook for creating deeper, more successful customer relationships. He shared the importance of face-t0-face interactions with clients/customers  and recommended avoiding the reliance on CRM (customer relationship management) systems to connect with customers. Ira believes creating value looks like:

  1. Listen without trying to sell.
  2. Seek to understand customer's wants and needs.
  3. Bring ideas, insights and best practices.
  4. Create wins for customers first.

Service Project: Jacob's Ladder Art Walk & Talent Show

Jacob's Walk Art Walk & Talent Show is an event to showcase the incredible talents of those who attend Jacob's Ladder, and provide a day of entertainment for their families. Festivities begin with a walk around the trails on campus so parents can enjoy their child's displayed artwork. The Art Walk concludes at the soccer field at 12:00 pm when the talent show begins.

The volunteer need is from 1o:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 21st and you can sign up here: Jacob's Ladder

If you have any questions, please contact Amie Blanton at (770) 315-9974

Roswell and North Fulton Rotaries Join Forces for a Blood Drive

The Rotary Club of North Fulton and Roswell Rotary are hosting a community blood drive on Wednesday, April 29 at Roswell Junction, and we are inviting local businesses and nonprofits to participate as community sponsors.

The Red Cross is currently facing a critical blood shortage, and this is a great opportunity to support a life-saving cause while connecting with our community.

What does sponsorship involve?
• Promoting the blood drive on your social media and with your network
• Encouraging your staff and customers to donate blood
• Providing a special offer, gift card, or promotion for the donor giveaway bags

Examples include Variant Brewery’s “Give a Pint – Get a Pint” coupon and restaurant coupons from Roswell Junction.

Event Details
? Roswell Junction – 340 S. Atlanta St., Roswell

? Wednesday, April 29

⌚ 8:00am - 2:00 pm
