This is neither a Project or an Action, but I think it is only fitting that our Club recognizes Steve Corder.
Steve is the one who founded The Rotary Club of North Fulton 25 years ago on January 19, 2000.
At that time, Steve was the President of The Rotary Club of Alpharetta. He made the decision to give up a good percentage of his members to allow the beginning of our Club. This had to be a hard thing to do in the day of trying to increase Rotary Membership, but Steve was looking at a bigger picture - and he made a good decision!
A couple of years ago, Steve found himself not well enough to attend the breakfast meetings in Alpharetta, so he asked if he could join our club - the club he started. If you didn't have an opportunity to meet Steve, he was very smart and influential in our community and most importantly - he was a heck of a nice guy!
Steve was a good husband and as a father - he had a fantastic relationship with his kids. He was also successful in his career. Steve Corder had a wonderful reputation and wanted to continue to give back until the day he passed away. When we leave this world, all that really matters is our reputation and what people think of us.
God Bless Steve Corder!
