Miss Mary's Ice Cream Crankin"

The Drake House started in 2004 to address the growing number of homeless women and children in North Fulton county. The Drake House transforms the lives of single mothers and their children by facilitating financial security and housing stability.

One of the signature fundraising events for The Drake House is an Ice Cream Social where different groups come together to sponsor a tent and staff it with volunteers and homemade ice cream. The public is invited to buy tickets to taste as many flavor varieties as they like.

Rotary Club of North Fulton had 7 volunteers scooping the ice cream varieties and four additional members made ice cream for the event. The event was a huge success and The Drake House made over $50,000 to put toward their programs.
